At the age of 14, Joni's closest friend, Gracie Darling, vanished mysteriously during a séance. Fast forward 27 years, and the youth in a quaint town are entangled in a chilling game called 'Playing Gracie Darling.' What begins as innocent fun takes a dark turn when another girl goes missing. Joni, now a child psychologist, comes back to her hometown and teams up with police sergeant Jay to reveal the truth. Meanwhile, Ruth, Gracie's sister, experiences every mother's worst fear as her own daughter disappears in a hauntingly familiar manner.
