During the feudal era of Japan, Kurou and his loyal servant Benkei find themselves on the run from Kurou's older brother, who has recently taken the throne. Seeking refuge in a secluded forest, they stumble upon a mysterious woman named Kuromitsu, who offers them shelter with one strict condition: they must not venture into certain forbidden chambers of her home. Their peaceful respite is short-lived as they are suddenly ambushed by the relentless Red Army, who are on a mission to capture Kuromitsu and harness her immortal blood. In a desperate bid for survival, Kurou drinks Kuromitsu's blood, granting him eternal life and supernatural powers. However, tragedy strikes when Kurou is seemingly beheaded, only to awaken centuries later in a desolate, dystopian city. In this grim future, the Red Army continues its relentless pursuit of Kuromitsu's blood, while a resistant faction fights to protect her. Driven by a thirst for vengeance and haunted by his past, Kurou embarks on a perilous quest to reunite with Kuromitsu and confront the Red Army once and for all.
