In 1990, Cameron, a gay high school student who was bullied, makes a bold decision to enlist in the Marine Corps alongside his best friend Ray, who is straight. This decision is risky because being openly gay in the military could lead to severe consequences, including imprisonment. As they both enter Marine Corps boot camp, facing both physical and emotional challenges, they become part of a platoon of young men embarking on a challenging and transformative journey.
