The story follows Joanna Beauchamp and her two grown daughters, Freya and Ingrid, who are unaware that they are the next line of witches in their family. They live seemingly ordinary lives in the peaceful coastal town of East Haven on Long Island. However, when Freya gets engaged to a wealthy newcomer, a chain of events unfolds that compels Joanna to reveal to her daughters their true identities as powerful and eternal witches.
