Pete St. John is a prominent and accomplished political advisor, catering to a diverse clientele nationwide. When his close friend and client, Ohio senator Sam Hastings, announces his retirement from politics, St. John is quickly enlisted to assist in the campaign of the enigmatic businessman Jerome Cade, who is poised to take Hastings’ place.
