As Christmas Eve approaches, Julian is on the brink of turning eleven years old. This day is typically a joyful occasion, filled with the delightful scents of gingersnaps and tangerines, the comforting crackle of a fire, the adorned Christmas tree, and the soft glow of candlelight. However, this year is different. Julian and his family are grieving the loss of his older sister, casting a shadow over the holiday season. Julian feels as though Christmas has been called off. Everything changes when Julian crosses paths with Hedwig, a cheerful individual who embodies the spirit of Christmas. Through their encounters, Julian starts to believe that perhaps Christmas can still happen. Yet, there is an air of mystery surrounding Hedwig’s home, and Julian can’t ignore the presence of an enigmatic old man who seems to be constantly lurking nearby.
